Our award-winning website www.invtrusts.co.uk contains a wealth of information about each investment trust and is updated daily with prices and performance information, as well as detailed risk analysis and monthly manager reports. You can also access online valuations, top up your existing investments, make withdrawals and switch investments via our secure website. Broadband users can also access webcasts by our fund managers.

Regular updates

Once invested, we aim to keep you closely informed. You will receive from us:

Half-yearly account statements - detailing all shares bought and sold over the past six months and providing a valuation of your
holding(s).

Annual report and accounts - including a fund manager's performance review and outlook, the board chairman's statement and full details of the company's balance sheet, earnings and current holdings.

Interim report - a half-yearly update between the annual report and accounts.

Have your say

When you buy shares in an investment trust, you become a shareholder and that gives you particular rights - just like any shareholder of a public limited company.

You can expect the board of the investment trust to work in your best interests. You get full voting rights and can attend Annual General Meetings (AGMs). Each investment trust holds an AGM. The AGM is an opportunity for investors to hear the report from the Chairman and Board of Directors and vote on the resolutions presented for your company and typically hear a presentation by the trust's manager. Plan investors are sent details of the AGM automatically with the trust's annual report.

In other words, you can have an active say in how your investment is managed and question the Board and fund manager in person!
